The introduction of a 50mph permanent speed limit

We are consulting on the introduction of a 50mph permanent speed limit on the M25 clockwise carriageway between junction 5 and the merger with the westbound carriageway of the M26.

We are keen to have your comments on this proposal and would specifically like to hear how it could affect you, your organisation or those you represent.

It is important to note that this is not a consultation on the actual policy of using permanent speed limits. We are therefore seeking your views on the proposal set out within the consultation document at the bottom of this page.
