Introduction

A303 Sparkford to Ilchester Dualling Scheme Statutory Consultation Questionnaire

Highways England is consulting on its proposal to upgrade the A303 between Sparkford and Ilchester to a high quality dual carriageway. The improvement is needed to relieve congestion and improve the safety performance of one of the busiest stretches of the A303/A358 route corridor that connects the south west and London and the south east.

In February and March last year we conducted a route options consultation on proposals for dualling the A303 between Sparkford and Ilchester. Following the consultation we continued to refine the design in conjunction with surveys and announced the preferred route on 24 October 2017.

This questionnaire is to help you give us your detailed feedback on our proposal.

What we are consulting on:

  • your detailed views on the overall proposal, the need for new junctions and road layout
  • any other opinions, issues or concerns that you wish to raise about the scheme.
